The arrangement of scarborough Fair was arranged by Dr. Stan Engebretson. He is a professor of music at George Mason University.

Mike Slamka is the lead for Power Play, the 2003 international gold medal quartet. He sings bari for Gas House Gang sometimes. The original baritone, Rob Henry (Jim's brother) died of cancer in 2003. He was an amazing singer, and a great person, too. Very sad.

Dr. Jim Henry has also researched the origins of Barbershop music on a scholarly basis, and has shown very powerful evidence that the harmonies we so love actually come from TRIBAL African chants. No European a capella style uses those harmonies (since Europeans worshipped at the feet of Pythagoreas and thus used Pythagorean Thirds and Sevenths).

A truly terrible loss. Especially since he had such a young son, now left fatherless. ;-(

I didn't know that about you Kipp, I still think your blend with Rich, Jim, and Rob was amazing. You may have not been a "blaster" tenor but still an awesome sound.
