saw Dougie in Geelong Australia 1983 or so...had the pleasure of a brief chat and found him quiet, friendly and a genuinely talented musician without ego. Still play the album I bought that night.

I almost cry every time I hear this song. To me this is the ultimate song for anyone of Scottish heritage in the world that just wants to go home <3

Born in Forth Park, raised in Leven, emigrated to England then to Switzerland, bought the live cd in a small musik shop in Inverness on holiday, and sometimes get to enjoy Lower Largo, Kingdom of Fife. Never get to see him, tours miss here, doesnt matter which version i hear, its a reminder of how we scots think with the heart, personally i favour scotland will flourish for the natioal anthem, it looks forward, always a good idea for a nation reincarnating.

How would you like to sing this and find you're standing next to Sir Sean Connery???? Dougie has done that. I can only imagine what that must have felt like.
