Description: Full video available at Google Video. George Gittes is an Australian journalist who did these interviews in Iraq in late 2003. Many of these interviews made their way onto Michael Moores "Farenheit 9-11". It was also the inspiration for the doco "Gunnar Palace". A Pentagon approved propaganda production. Gittes got in before the chaos set in and was well known enough around Baghdad to move with little fear of assassination or kidnap. |

Gundum ::: Favorites ANGEL OF DEATH!!!!! Who cares if you don't like it being associated with war.I'm ok with it, as long as our soldiers...any soldier gets a little bit of pleasure out of being able to hear their favorite song in such a horrible place. 07-09-22 17:18:30 __________________________________________________
philosoful ::: Favorites Don't like this, music's a great thing, shouldn't be associated to this. 07-09-11 05:15:50 __________________________________________________
QuoVadius ::: Favorites No. Thats been common knowledge for 5000 years. In occult and other circles. Today, consult your local advertising guru. he will tell you all about the power of music. They dont spend billions on fancy adds with sound for nothin. 07-08-27 22:31:21 __________________________________________________
Dingbai ::: Favorites haha i don´t really know a guru, and religion is a curse to me, so i keep my distance. But i don´t say you´re wrong it´s just that there is alot of different theorys out there.. 07-08-28 11:04:58 __________________________________________________
Dingbai ::: Favorites well they need the music to keep themselves lighted up and alive inside´. When you know that the enemy will kill you when they get the chance it´s really sadening and stressfull. These guys are not stupid or sick killers that loves a soundtrack to it all. they react as anyone would. And i personnally think Iron Maiden sounds gay, and i love the aggresive metal, but that is a taste issue. people will always like different kinds of music. 07-08-27 12:14:05 __________________________________________________
Dingbai ::: Favorites These people aren´t really any different to the iraqi people or the militia, cause they are going thru pretty much the same thing.. And personnally i think Iron Maiden sounds gay, and i love the metal of today, but that is a taste issue and everybody loves something others hate. everybody afflects on music. 07-08-27 12:05:39 __________________________________________________
QuoVadius ::: Favorites Again, Bruce Dickonsen can hold a note. If I wanted to hear continual screaming and gutteral sounds like a dying chimpanzee I would go to the zoo. :-) But as you say...tastes are so different. 07-08-27 22:32:20 __________________________________________________
Dingbai ::: Favorites haha Touché :b.. well taste is very different. for example i am the only metalhead i know that likes Aereogramme, moby, simple minds and other absolutetly non-metal bands hehe.. i like a big variety of styles from metal too, but im not really in to the late 70´s and the 80´s.. except Kiss. the music and the lyrics is so fuckin cool :).. but Kiss is in the hard rock category i think hehe.. 07-08-28 11:09:07 __________________________________________________
QuoVadius ::: Favorites Kiss were what they were. Well produced and well managed. They still do a great show. I would have liked to see one before I died but it will probably never happen. I am also sad I missed out on John Denver before he died and also Johnny Cash. God can be cruel sometimes. :-( 07-08-28 12:11:35 __________________________________________________ |
