Description: Don Mischer (director, producer) throws the F word on live national television, during his tirade after the 2004 Democratic National Convention. The balloon drop had problems, and CNN mistakenly brought the control audio feed live as he directed the semi-famous doomed balloon and confetti drop. The anchors try to explain, only adding to the hilarity. Note Jeff Greenfield mentions the failure possibly being a bad omen for the Kerry campaign, similar to a weak balloon drop in New York for Carter in 1980. "We may have heard a profanity, Wolf.." |
